Careers in Construction
Project Management
A Construction Project Manager oversees all phases of a construction project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Key responsibilities include planning, budgeting, and coordinating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. They ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes, manage risks, and resolve project challenges. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with experience in construction methods and project management tools. A degree in construction management or a related field is typically preferred but not required. Starting salaries are 50-60K dependent upon experience.
Sales
A Construction Sales Representative is responsible for generating leads, building relationships, and closing sales within the construction industry. They identify client needs, present products or services, and negotiate contracts to meet revenue goals. Key tasks include prospecting new clients, managing existing accounts, and staying informed about industry trends and competitor offerings. Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills are essential, along with a good understanding of construction processes and products. A background in sales and experience in the construction or related industries are often required, with technical knowledge being a strong asset. This is most often a commission based position in which you can earn 60-80K in year one, and 100K plus in year 2 and after.
Office Administration
A Construction Administrator supports the planning and execution of construction projects by managing documentation, coordinating schedules, and ensuring compliance with regulations and contracts. They handle tasks such as processing permits, managing contracts, tracking budgets, and maintaining communication between project managers, contractors, and clients. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in construction software and documentation tools. A background in construction management, administration, or a related field is typically required, along with knowledge of construction processes and terminology. This typically begins as an hourly paid job, starting at $18-$20 per hour, but can change to a salaried position with years of experience.
Marketing
A Construction Marketing Specialist develops and implements strategies to promote a construction company’s services and build brand awareness. Responsibilities include creating marketing materials, managing social media and digital campaigns, coordinating events, and maintaining relationships with clients and industry partners. They analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop proposals or presentations to attract new business. Strong communication, creativity, and project management skills are essential, along with knowledge of the construction industry and marketing tools. A degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is often required, with experience in construction or B2C marketing preferred. This is typically a salaried position starting at 45K-55K per year based on experience.

Wow, this company goes above and beyond. From the very first reach out to the very last interaction once the job was completed. Everything was done first class. Contract Exteriors did a great job for me. The entire group was very responsive, and my deck project turned out fantastic. My project, as all projects, had some surprises that were handled professionally and promptly. Randy, Brooks, and the office staff were great throughout the process. They proactively kept me informed on the status of the project. I never had to call twice to get a question answered or ask for an accommodation.
We couldn't be happier with contract exteriors and the job they did. Our beach house looks brand new with the new Hardie board and white trim. EVERYONE was friendly, well mannered, professional, and was always ready to answer any questions that we had. Miguel and his crew did an excellent job. Brooks the project manager was wonderful, and also Chad who helped us from the very beginning, also the girls in the office. We would not hesitate to use them again.
This company did an amazing job on my siding project. From start to finish they were very professional, helpful, and on time. Eugenia clearly communicated the whole process to me before they even started the project and Brooks was always available to answer my questions. He even came and ensured the cleanup was perfect and finished up the exterior lighting. Even after the project was finished this company ensured communicated to ensure everything was perfect. Everything about this group was extremely professional. Renovations can be challenging but they carefully made sure that their products and our original structures fit together seamlessly. We are truly looking forward to our new elegant deck that will be essentially maintenance free for many, many years. We will definitely use this company for future projects.
Matt Kuzdrall made our whole experience of purchasing two new roofs for our buildings at the Children's Recovery Center so easy. Matt was professional and had all the answers to any questions we had.
