Frequently Asked home remodeling Questions
Contract Exteriors is James Hardie Guild Quality Customer Service Award winner and certified by the Vinyl Siding Institute. We pride ourselves on providing top-notch customer service for all our clients. Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about the services we provide.
What kinds of siding do you install in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina?
Our professional home remodeling contractors install a variety of durable and low-maintenance siding styles. At Contract Exteriors, we specialize in two types of siding.
James Hardie Board Siding uses fiber cement siding. This is a composite material made of cement, sand, and cellulose fibers. The result is a strong, durable product that reinforces your home. Fiber cement siding is becoming an increasingly popular choice, as it also balances design options affordability.
Vinyl siding is made primarily from PVC resins. Not only is it more affordable, but it also stands up to moisture, mold, and mildew growth and damage. Best of all, it’s long-lasting and can resist extreme exposure to heat and the coastal elements, all while saving you money.
Do you offer financing options?
We offer financing options that allow for 18-month, 7-year, and 10-year loans. These come courtesy of Enerbank. You can check out our financing page or apply online here.
Does a deck increase curb appeal?
Decking can do a lot for curb appeal, though that’s not the best part. Having a deck or porch right outside your home allows you to fully engage with your environment. Whether it be a space for entertainment or a space for relaxation, the decking experts at Contract Exteriors focus on making the perfect deck or porch to fit your lifestyle.
What types of material can I choose for my deck?
Contract Exteriors offers three options for deck construction material:
- TimberTech Decking uses materials that offer a fully encapsulated cellular PVC product. This comes with resistance to warping, rotting, insects, and more. It also comes with TimberTech’s Alloy Armour Technology that offers our customers a limited lifetime warranty on manufacturer defects. Moreover, it pairs with industry leading-50 year Fade and Stain warranty.
- TimberTech Composite Decking not only gives you an outdoor space where you can relax, but you also gain undeniable durability and a plethora of styles. The best part is that, unlike a wooden deck, there’s no need to worry about rotting.
- Wood Decking is considered the most traditional building material for decks. At Contract Exteriors, we use pressure-treated wood, like Southern Yellow Pine, over traditional lumber. A pressure-treated wooden deck is built to last longer than one made from traditional wood and is a great option for a decking project.
Is it worth replacing my windows and doors?
Along with curb appeal, replacing your windows and doors can have a huge impact on your monthly bills. Windows can take up anywhere between 10% and 50% of your home’s exterior walls. This allows for enormous potential for heat loss, which can be mitigated by installing energy-efficient windows and doors.
